Monthly Archives: September 2010

As my blog readers who saw their engagement portraits know, Lauren and I have been friends since middle school. I am so thrilled that we’ve been able to take that friendship into adulthood and all the milestones that come with it. Unfortunately, one of my own milestones, the birth of my first child, did not coordinate well with Lauren’s wedding. I was due to have Abby the day after the wedding, but all my finger crossing didn’t work and I had her the Monday before. I was so disappointed to miss their wedding, first as a friend, second as a photographer.

Luckily for all of us, I had two wonderful photographers booked to shoot with me. Stacey Bode and Michelle White took over and did a wonderful job. I owe Lauren and Albert a huge thank you for being so understanding and flexible. Thanks, guys!

They had an outdoors ceremony at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. We were all worried about the August heat, but some other summer-time weather came into play. They exchanged vows in the rain, laughing and smiling all the while.

After the ceremony, everyone went over to the Piedmont Driving Club for the beautiful reception. An incredible team of vendors including Ashley Baber Weddings, Unique Floral Expressions, and Lauren’s sister, Lisa, of Paper Daisies Stationery, came together to make the decor stunning.

Congratulations on a beautiful wedding and I can’t wait to share more of life’s milestones with you guys!

I love Wendy and Jeremy! I am so so so happy I was able to shoot their wedding last month.

They hosted an amazing event at the Downtown Ritz. There were so many stunning details: from the crystals and roses hanging from the huppah to the beautiful flowers and centerpieces that were lit inside the glass vases. All the gorgeous decor is by Blossoms Atlanta. The Heather Hayes Experience was an amazing and kept everyone dancing all night.

Because of the sheer beauty of the wedding, I was overloaded with too many  pictures that I wanted to post on this blog, so unfortunately I had to leave out many of the details. There are tons more detail pictures in the slideshow.

Another reason there are so many pictures in this post is I had two additional photographers instead of my normal one. Huge thanks to Melissa Schollaert and Stacey Bode!

Mazel Tov, Wendy and Jeremy! I am so happy for you two and I am thrilled to have been your photographer.
